Only airworthy B-29 Superfortress in the world.
Arsenal of Democracy VE Day Celebration, Washington, DC.
In honor of VE Day, dozens of planes took to the skies over DC for the Arsenal of Democracy Flyover. Above is the only airworthy B-29 Superfortress in the world. In the closing Missing Man Formation, John Dailey, director of the National Air and Space Museum, flew the separating plane. Speaking of the NASM, I stood outside the museum's Observatory for my photos. Roll over photos for captions.
